Description

The 1,087-acre Sam Houston Jones State Park is a truly well-preserved area open to the public. Bird watching at this park is excellent because it is located near a very productive birding region. Water sports abound with convenient boat launches and rental boats for your use. Three hiking trails give visitors an opportunity for a scenic stroll through the park. Cabin and campsites are also available for rental. The hiking trails on the property equal about seven miles when combined.

From Lake Charles (I-10): Take U.S. 171 North for four miles to Moss Bluff, then left on La. Hwy. 378, or take La. 378 north from Westlake to the park. <br /><br />107 Sutherland Road, Lake Charles, LA
